Yumi: Here's the next chapter ^^ the man that appeared in this chapter Junsei is losely based on a character I saw in the Yami no Matsuei/Fatal frame dream. A farmer who took Tsuzuki and Hisoka in. But he wasn't friendly like the kind old man you see in this chapter. He found out about their relationship and that they were Shinigami and he took his life. I decided to make the harsh character who takes his own life Yoji from 'The Akiko mansion case'instead because it just suited the situation but Junsei is kind and approves of them being together and he will become the father figure Hisoka wished for...
Hisoka: The plot thickens
Yumi: Well your own father wasn't exactly a role model I'd have thought you'd like someone like Junsei
Hisoka: I do like Junsei
Yumi: Okay good where's your boyfriend by the way?
Hisoka: *blushes* I dunno probably eating cake or something
Yumi: Would you like to do the disclaimer then?
Hisoka: Whatever Yumi123 does not own Yami no Matsuei or it's characters she only owns Junsei and his son. Other characters belong to Yoko Matsushita-sama...

They had hardly been there for a month when it had all started to go wrong. Hisoka's nightmares were getting worse and the curse marks had not gone away. He was getting worried about them being found. Tsuzuki assured him that he would keep him safe but Hisoka's fears could not be calmed as of yet.

One afternoon Hisoka decided to have a bath when Tsuzuki went to find a shop somewhere because they needed food. He had been in there for a good half hour when he heard Muraki's voice commanding him. Hisoka obeyed his command unconsciously. Muraki told him to spend the whole time Tsuzuki was gone in a bath full of scalding water to prove to Tsuzuki that he was brave and could deal with things himself.

Tsuzuki took three hours because the shop was very far away from where they were staying. He arrived back home and got increasingly when he couldn't find Hisoka anywhere. He saw the bathroom door was still closed and could hear water dripping and the horrible realisation dawned on him. Hisoka had been in a boiling hot bath for three hours. Tsuzuki panicked and charged into the bathroom and saw Hisoka hanging from the side of the bath unconscious.

"Hisoka! Hisoka hang in there!" Tsuzuki cried out to the boy. He gently pulled Hisoka out of the hot water and winced when the water touched his hand. He lay Hisoka down on the bathroom door and checked he was still breathing. He had to get the boy to a doctor he didn't seem to recover on his own. He could see the curse marks flaring red on Hisoka's skin and he felt his protective instinct settling in.

So across miles of fields Tsuzuki carried his love who was still unconscious. He had to find somewhere he had to. After an hour he still hadn't found anything. There was no doctor in the middle of nowhere and now he was lost and he didn't know his way back. Because of his panic to get Hisoka somewhere safe he had lost track of where they were. He eventually came across a farmer who sensing Tsuzuki's panic offered to take them both in.

Soon Hisoka finally woke up after his fever went down. He found himself in a room he didn't recognise. But he saw Tsuzuki sitting by his side. Tsuzuki was thrilled to see Hisoka was awake but he was also very concerned. "What happened Hisoka? I was gone three hours and when I came back I found you passed out in the bath." "I don't know I heard Muraki's voice and then everything went black..."

Tsuzuki had a feeling that Muraki had put Hisoka in a trance and decided that going back to where they were staying was too dangerous. The man who had taken them in was named Junsei Sora. When he saw Hisoka he couldn't help but think of his own son who had died years before. Hisoka bore some resemblance to Shuya and he felt like it was his duty to help these two. His son had died aged 16 shot during a robbery. If he was alive then he would have been 52.

Tsuzuki and Hisoka felt sympathetic. Hisoka had seen pictures of Shuya and he really did look like him. They had the same hair colour but Shuya had blue eyes. Junsei was a very lonely man he had lost his wife a couple of years back too. He was 75 years old and had been away from human contact for a long time but now he could fuss over Hisoka. Hisoka could be like the grandchild that he had never had.

Hisoka was overwhelmed by the man's kindness and he even approved of their relationship. He couldn't help but think of how much they cared for one another and how much they needed each other. It was like they shared half a soul each in separate bodies. That's how strong their love seemed. The man Tsuzuki was very protective over the boy who couldn't see too well after a work related accident.

It was fun for Junsei to finally have some company after being alone for so many years. He liked learning about how society seemed today as to how it was when Junsei was a teenager. He also found it amusing how much of an old woman Hisoka acted and how the two of them bickered like an old married couple. He didn't push them to talk about their pasts and they didn't want to bring it up but he talked happily about his own past and how proud he was of his son when he was still alive.

Tsuzuki and Hisoka were glad that they could rest a while and they were enjoying themselves. Junsei acted like the father Hisoka had always wanted and not like the father that he had when he was alive. Hisoka just hoped that these happy days would last a while...
I own nothing but Junsei and Shuya Sora
