Kohaku was born into a normal family with his sister Hisako and his cousin Mayu. His parents were kind and understanding and accepted that he was gay. Kohaku had always had a crush on his best friend Keita Izumi. But for ages couldn't ever admit it because he was frightened that Keita would be disgusted by his feelings.

Thankfully he and Keita got the chance to kiss but they never stated their true feelings. And tragedy struck. Naoya got possessed by a vengeful ghost and he killed Kohaku. Depressed Keita fled to England to be with his friend who lived there Ryan. Kohaku appeared to Miya and pleaded with her to allow him to speak with Keita once more.

Miya allowed this and brought him to her brother. They talked awhile and finally confessed the three words they had always meant to say to each other. 'I love you.' With those words said Kohaku finally found peace and now he watches over them from afar along with Naoya and he was relieved to see Keita smile again. And in his heart he has never ever stopped loving Keita. He will love Keita forever...
